Objective:

  • As part of implementing a TOM, cut cost and integrate this client by standardizing ways of working across lines of business and support functions, rescue and implement the International Template in 3 regions (Europe (Holland/Germany/Belgium), Japan, Australia/New Zealand - 700 users+), involving:

    • Upgrade to ERP Oracle JDE 9.4 (Finance (AP, AR, COA, R2R)), Advanced Warehousing, Manufacturing)

    • Remediate, update, replace or decommission up to 35 non ERP applications per region (these include custom software and vendor applications (Order Pool, Pepperi, Pyramid, 3PL) with multiple support models)

    • Consolidate all infrastructure in the UK (150 servers & VDI set up, AD and Windows 10 upgrade

    • Convert to US chart of accounts

    • Create a Finance Shared Service Centre

    • Manage transition to a managed service TOM with Infosys

 

Achievements:

  • Turned the project around in 4 weeks with an achievable workplan, clear R&Rs, governance, risk management

  • With minimum budget (£9M), time and resources constraints, led the program through Design, Build, Test and Cutover Phases, managing third party suppliers (Infosys for Oracle) and delivered go-live on time.

  • Managed expectations of the UK, regional, head office stakeholders working closely with International IT Director and ISSC Director.

 

How:

  • Developed high involvement of the business process leads and complete business readiness to ensure success

  • Organised resources and activities throughout the Phases to be running in parallel (250 people involved across regions)

  • Respected go-live dates without increasing resources or budget despite delayed IT deliveries

  • Focused go-live on delivering minimal IT requirements to support critical business processes (Take Order, Pick, Ship, Invoice)
