IT Functional Excellence (from design to implementation and roll out) for a major Tier 1 automotive supplier

Objective:

  • Transform the global and the 4 regional IT functions so IT can fully support this client major global digitalization programme and become a valued partner to the business.

  • Integrate, connect further this major company to become more agile, global.

Achievements:

Gained trust at all levels and based on facts, changed the image of IT from a support service to a key player at Board level.

Consolidated further a disconnected company between head office and regions by addressing key issues such as lack of decision making process, prioritization based on solid business case, etc.
 

How:

Based on internal assessments and external benchmark, led (from design to full implementation) the Group CIO, CFO, CDO, IT Directors and Regional Presidents to:

​

  • Improve the disconnect between IT, the global and regional functions (SCM, Manufacturing, Engineering, Finance) to better support the digitalization programme

​

  • Set up a project priority governance including project financial aspects, organization, project management standards

​

  • Improve IT organisation to step up the Gartner IT maturity model

​

  • Design and implement the digital skills strategy for IT and the business, IT career path, pool of project resources

​​

  • Plan and roll out a culture change, communication and change management

This also included:

  • Coaching of Group CIO, Group CFO on the data governance program and Regional IT Directors

  • Global / regional / digital / data organizational design and implementation
